Maria Daly once again showed her class in the The Connaught 60 x 30 open that took place in Connaught venues last weekend. Maria won the Ladies Open. This is a great result for Maria who is not yet 18 years of age.
On the way to the final Maria defeated Tracey Buckley her club mate from Ballymacelligott 21/7, 21/14. In the final Maria defeated Anna Wrenn from Kildare 21/12, 21/14. Maria was joined by other Ballymac players who took part in the open as follows:

Lisa Falvey from Ballymacelligott got to the Final of the U15s. To reach the final she defeated Ruth Kelly (Clare) 21/2, 21/1 and Karen Lawlor, (Tralee) 21/10, 21/1.
