Ballymacelligott Handball Club News 20th October 2002

Kerry defeated Clare in the 60 x 30 U12/13 Team Munster final on Monday night last . Kerry won with a score of 60 points to Clares 55 points. This is a great win for the County as Munster Finals are hard to come by. Congratulations to the players and coaches.

AT ROSCOMMON, SATURDAY, 19 OCTOBER, Kerry beat Mayo in the semi-final ,score 70/67, and went on to play the final on the same day. Tyrone beat Kerry in the All-Ireland Final. The score was 75/34 The boys had a great run and played well. It is no mean feat to be defeated in an All Ireland Final and we congratulate them all.

Karen Collins [Tipperary] beat Lisa Falvey [Kerry] 21-10, 20-21, 11-2.
Ashley Prendiville [Kerry] beat Marion Kennedy [Galway] 21-7, 21-6.
Karen Lawlor [Kerry] beat Marion Kennedy [Galway] 21-17, 21-20.
Ashley Prendiville [Kerry] beat Karen Lawlor [Kerry] 21-8, 21-7.
Sandy Mc Swiney [Kerry] beat Kerry Mc Nulty [Galway] 21-11, 21-8.
Emer Fallon [Kildare] beat Sharon Daly [Kerry] 21-9, 21-6.
Ashley Prendiville, Sandy Mc Swiney and Tim Prendiville are all through to All-Ireland Semi- Finals in their respective age groups which will be played on Saturday 2nd November, with the All Ireland Finals on Sunday 3rd November. Congratulations and best of luck to you all.
