Ballymac Players Progress in the Nationals
Kerry had a large number of players involved in the Envirogreen Irish Nationals,
which kicked off nationwide this weekend. In the Men’s Open: Tony Healy beat Dominic Lynch; Ashley Prendeville
accounted for Deirdre O Donoghue in the Women’s Open. The Women’s B section saw Karen Lawlor defeat Katie Costello in a
marathon game which went to a tie break; Catriona Casey joins her in the final stages of the competition as she received a
walkover in her game. Sharon Twomey advanced to the knockout stages of the U17 girls-courtesy of an easy win against
Sarah O Donnell, while Eoin Keane-U13 Boys and Colm O Luing-U17 Boys were beaten in their first round games.
