Ballymacelligott Handball Club News 3rd November 2002
We wish Sharon Daly, Maria Daly, Lisa Falvey, Ashley Prendiville and Tim Prendiville every success as they take part in the 40 x 20 Leinster Open next weekend.

· The Handball Club is currently running its Annual Pub Quiz. The second night of the quiz will take place on Thursday next the 7th November commencing at 10.00pm at Glenduff House. The Quiz is being run this year to help fund the development that has been done at the Handball Alleys over the past number of months. Girls Toilets and showers and a meeting room have been added to the Clubrooms. This is the last phase of a five-year development that has seen the complete renovation of our Parish Handball Club. The money raised from the quiz is to help complete the project in the next few months. Your support would be greatly appreciated. A table with four is €16. Please come and support us on Thursday next At Glenduff House and Thursday 14th at The Half Way Bar.
· The Club is hosting the Eileen Twomey Tournament for girls on Saturday 10th October. The tournament will commence at 11.00 am. This is an annual tournament and we issue an open invitation to everyone in the Parish to come along some time during the day to see the work that has been done at the club over the past few months.
· Coaching will commence for all boys and girls who are experienced players and over 13 next week. All children interested are asked to sign on for this top class coaching on Thursday next the 7th November from 8.30pm to 9.00pm. We need this coaching to help further progress our players skills and the club is taking on coaches to do this. All interested participants will have to pay €25.00 euro to cover the coaches expenses. All monies to be paid on Thursday next. Training and coaching for younger children and beginners will start the following week. Full details next week.
· UNITED STATES HANDBALL ASSOCIATION TRIALS.
. Ashley Prendiville (Girls 15 and under), Sandy Mc Swiney (Girls 17/19 and under) and Tim Prendiville were defeated in the All-Ireland Semi- Finals of the USHA trials in their respective age groups which were played on Saturday 2nd November.
